sunnyhazyClear but hazy sky, sun was out in am but still cooler and in the upper 50’s.

Bought the new upgrade to VMWare Fusion 6 for MacBook, so I could do stuff on Windows on my macbook, only $46 so not all that bad.

Went out on the trail today about noon, the pollen was and still is KILLING me, sinuses are aching, throat sore, coughing and my eyes are watering.

Stopped in at Hooters and then quickly to the Shroom, I did a little to much tonight. Dude @ the bar, someone in Education I think, tried to strike up a conversation to bitch about the new gun law signed by the governor relaxing some gun regulations. I guess he wasn’t expecting someone to be for it. I tried to explain why it wasn’t a bad thing but he figures that if people have guns they will always just kill for no reason. Got to chat and flirt with Kelli most of the evening, watching some hockey on the TV. Stopped over @ the Shroom for a Goose Island IPA and chatted with them for a bit, Madison, Margret or was it Rebbeca? Sahil was managing and the dude John? I forget his name was there. Talked abou the gun legislation and shouldn’t have, I think I pissed off Sahil, since I was kind of saying it would make more since to rob the place if no guns were allowed.

Today the Governor of GA signed a bill that will allow gun owners to carry weapons in bars, some schools, government buildings and churches. Opponents call it the gun everywhere bill but truly only allows it in bars and government buildings where there is no security setup and churches can decide if they want to allow people to carry, school boards can allow employees to carry if they want. It’s not a free for all.

Got home and crashed, falling right to sleep.

partly cloudysunnyWoke up @ 7, then I went back to sleep. Woke up a short time at 8 then finally got up at about 8:50 mostly just messed not he computer.

Sunny then partly cloudy the rest of the’d any.

I took some photos oft he squirrel skull that I bleached with peroxide overnight. Then watched some music videos and messed around in the yard trimming back the vins on th deck and the side of the house.

Went out to Hooters for a beer and some buffalo shrimp, got to see Beth and also Katrina who seemed to be working as a manager. She looked very respectable in her glasses. Bruceaxnd a large Ganga werreaxttxhe bar when I arrived, ted included. Then most except Bruce left. Met a nice couple from Wisconsin, big Green Bay fans watching the game. He wifi there is still f’ed up so I didn’t stay long.

Stopped in at the Old Towne Tavern and sat at the bar outside, sweet, very nice the clouds had come in and it was cool with a slight breeze. Had a couple Hopsicutioners end then a wild pie with shrimp, damn good. I forgot how good it was. Oh, the bartender at the patio was named Alicia, beautiful brown haired, eyed girl. They also had beer long back in June back on the patio, college. I think I did see a gal from tilted kilt, blonde tall a bit on the redneck side, possibly playing for the other team.

Got a few things from Home Depot to update the shower to add a handheld shower in addition to the overhead rain type shower head I have already. The main reason for this was to be able to make it easier to clean up the shower. Only problem is I wanted the main one to be on all the time and then the handheld one to be turned on as well to rinse off the sides. I had first installed it so the main unit was turning off and on and the handheld always on. I didn’t get it reconfigured correctly since I ran out of the Teflon tape using it to set everything up the first time.

Watched the season premier of the Walking Dead.

From Beer Street Journal–>

Tonight’s Season Four premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead featured a fight scene full of craft beer. SweetWater Brewing, Terrapin Beer Co and Jailhouse Brewing had cameos. You also see Decatur’s Ale Yeah! banner in a scene. (Slightly obscured by the Jailhouse sign.)

This hit show is filmed in and around Atlanta, Georgia. The Walking Dead’s set designers often reach out to local brewers asking for beer, signage and boxes to be used as props for filming.

The cat had gotten a hold of my squirrel skull and was obviously began batting it around, several pieces from the nose were on the floor and one tooth, I can’t find the other tooth and I’m a bit pissed at him. I have no idea where the damn thing is. I want to strangle Crash now, I really don’t want animals for exactly this reason, I want to be able to leave things and not have to worry about them getting broken or ruined.

Woke up and it was sunny and bright. Messed around the house finished the laundry and got the towels in the dryer.

Went out finally to Freeman’s Mill and took some photos. There were a few people there, even down in the water like they are not suppose to be. I would have liked to get some shots of the water but with all the kids around and the adults with them, there was no way. Funny part is that there was a special services cop there with the car parked in the Buses ONLY spot, figures. Then a group of gals that looked as if they were all of at least 18yo but not a bit more. I walked through the woods a bit but found nothing of interest. I did come across a American Lady and then I think a gulf fritillary, lastly I stumbled on a common buckeye, tried to catch him and I kicked myself since I though of but didn’t bring the net.

I then went over to the Hooters and had some shrimp and a beer, then over to the Shroom for another beer and a turkey hoagie. Beth, the slightly Asian gal was @ the bar, met a new gal, Victoria? who wants to be a Nascar driver? Then another brunette who rivals LaurenDe. @ the Shroom, Lauryn was in a bit of a mood, didn’t feel well due to the dust in the air. But about the time I got there she took a benedryl and figured she would be high in a few minutes. Her disposition did get a bunch better and she was joking about beer and tasting some as her shift ended @ 4 and Sahil and Justin showed up.

Came home took a short nap and messed with photos and figuring out some of the mushrooms and insects I’ve taken photos of throughout the week. Then I watched some TV, episodes of tBBT and lastly today’s Game of Thrones. The character played by Oona Chaplin, Talisa had a really sexy part at the end of the episode. She has some wonderful back dimples, I love dimples…

the Annular solar eclipse was at ~8:30pm tonight but a storm and clouds came in about 7pm and didn’t allow any viewing for us. It would have been nice with Brian’s solar telescope to have a glimpse. I had resigned to not seeing anything earlier when the clouds came in but I totally forgot and when I looked at the clock it was 8:36 so I would have missed it anyway. Brian came up and said something again about 9pm so he forgot as well.

There was a 6.0 Earthquake in Italy today, Italy earthquake kills six and razes centuries of history | World news | The Guardian.

Out for a sandwich to go from Firehouse subs, stopped in at the Fresh Market next door and bought some pairs, some Gorgonsola Cheese, crackers and some chips. After lunch I took a short time taking photos that turned into more time than I had intended. I do that more than I should. I did get some good shots with the 36mm extension and the 150mm Macro lens in order to get some > 1:1 macro shots. Also got my time-off plans solidified, from Thursday before Thanksgiving till Tuesday after Thanksgiving and then from the 16th of December (Friday) till the end of the year.

Visited a friend @ her work to see her outfit for “Daria”. She looked adorable. Brian visited as well and we had dinner while the place went crazy with to-go orders, Lauryn said they had over $800 in less than two hours.

After I stopped in and saw the Hooters crew, wasn’t really feeling well by then, had a headache, more like an eye ache I think. Kayla was dressed as a busty devil, Larry showed up and sat with Katrina & then LaurenD arrived, all in plain clothes but Katrina showed me photos of her german barmaid outfit this year, she sure does make an excellent german oktoberfest gal.

Stopped back by the Shroom since I didn’t want to get back to the house until after the Halloween mayhem was over, I really do like Halloween but I just can’t seem to get myself into the mood anymore, I need someone to egg me on a but like when Becky and I went to the last Halloween party I’ve been to about 2 years ago. And also the time the Rogers and I all went to Hooters and then over to Wild Bills for Halloween back in 2007 or sometime back then.

Got up wondering what was up with Autumn that she hadn’t called to let me know what was up for today. Went out to the Shroom with Brian and poor Lauryn is getting worse instead of better, sinus issues galore. I texted Autumn but got nothing back in the next hour. After lunch I went over to Hooters for a beer cince B.Ritch was going to be working her eligebility day at the bar so I figured I’d go in and say Hi.

Turned into a nice early afternoon, got to see BritR and then a few other “regulars”, Bruce, Alabama dude, Desire’, Rick-photo, as well as Alex, Trish the Gator, and even Anna (still blonde but I can’t seem to get used to it). There was this very Gothy looking petite chick at the end of the bar, a few tattoos showing very pale skin and dark hair. She had a few beers, fries and sat with her one foot up on the char so her knee is up around her chin. I did notice she was really small all around with a cute little butt.

I finally got a text from Autumn while there at Hooters watching UGA do OK against Ole Miss. She had JUST gotten up, must have had a bad (long) night. I texted such but got no reply to that only that she was watching UGA as well. Asked about meeting up at T-Mac for the UF game @ 7 but no real reply to that. Came home and just hung out and messed around water plants, cleaning up around the yard, etc. I got my re-newed PASSPORT today and absolutely hate the picture on it. I look like my Grandpa Walton, plus the color is all wrong. I’m suppose to get my old passport back as well a bit later.

I then took off to T-Mac for the Florida/Kentucky game, had some dinner, a few beers and they won, 48-10. Brian also stopped in and had dinner with me, him a panini and I the shrimp/avacado salad, but forgot to tell them to leave off the fresh jalapenos, OUCH I got a few and they really did BURN. I also chatted with a nice couple, the gal a redhead about 7.5 months pregnant and as cute as a button, strawberry blonde, fair skin and a boat load of freckles. I may have chatted with them before. Also a crew from the Petite Le’Mans just got into town and were there, Boz crew?

Finished watching the game and then came on home, nice cool evening by now, lower 60’s on the drive home. Watched some TV with Jeremy and Nicki, then we figured out the Wii wasn’t working when Nicki tried to exercise, find out then that it’s been having trouble all along, she has been leaving it on and then not removing her disc which hasn’t made things better.

Didn’t get together with Autumn, maybe this is an omen. Got a call from Becky about her moving this next week, needs to be out of her VERY NICE but VERY expensive apartment at the end of the month. She is not happy about this at all.

I was thinking about heading out to a waterfall this morning but laying in bed until 10am didn’t make it happen.

Instead, I waited around the house until after about 1pm and went over to the Mall, stopping in at Taco Mac for some lunch and a beer. Looked for some pasta bowls but didn’t find any I liked. I only really saw two sets, one at Williams Sonoma and another at Crate & Barrel.

Left the Mall and was thinking about walking the Greenway by 85/Hwy20 and decided against it since it was pushing about 98 degrees out. Instead I cruised over to the Shroom and then to Hooters for a snack, saw some friends there for a bit, Kayla – Jasmine – Kate – Katrina, texted the Rogers to give them the Nah-Nahs about being there.

Home for the rest of the evening (it was already 6pm by the time I got home) and played a little bit with the 150mm with the 50mm reversed on the camera. Some photos of a new penny, so very close.

I did leave to get some groceries, an odd variety of stuff, and fruit and yogurt for work.

Watched the new DVD I got the day before, Source Code, not at all what I was thinking it was, really cool though.

I got up a bit late this morning, woke up about 7:15 and hadn’t heard the alarm at all.

Got somewhere on the bug, finally getting the correct PDB file and now the customer wants a FIX NOW! I told support that I’ll try to have something on Monday.

Met up with Ted at the Hooters in Roswell for lunch, very cute blonde with very LONG legs and a nice semi-circle butt named Christine? Nice brown eyes maybe a little green. A bus load of old guys came in about the time we were finishing up.

On the way home I noticed that the Oak Village had something going on. There was a LARGE group of people on the roadside were the Lady was found last week, NiqueL. She has a large outcry there.

AFter work I stopped in at Hooters and had an order of buffalo shrimp and a 420. It was Christmas in July so mostly everyone was dressed up a bit Christmasy. Saw the regular crew plus some. Kayla, J, Shawntae, JK, Kate, Trish, and on the customer side that gal who came to the Tilted Kilt, Clay and several others. Got out and then went over to the Shroom for a beer before heading home. Chatted with Sahil and Justin for awhile. found out that Margrett’s dad, Tim Cummings has gotten a job with a SW company, Sage. The other crew were there as well, Erin, Michelle and two others I can’t name. Sahil told me then that she may be over at Taco Mac tonight as well.

I came home and bought the latest update to the MAC OS, Lion. Then got the latest XCode (development kit) I need to get something written for the Mac so I can say I have.

Got to work this morning, going through my e-mail on the iPhone an noticed my Federal tax return has hit the bank. Now to pay off some credit cards and my car. I also think I’ll be investing into a new computer with Windows 7. Need to step up to a 64 bit operating system at home.

Got the Girl Scout cookies I ordered last month, immediately ate a half a box of Lemon Cremes.

Ordered my tickets to the Brew Your Cask Off Festival next weekend. I’ve missed the other beerfest activities so far this year and since I hadn’t gotten to the one last year (the first?) I decided I would make it to this one. I said tickets but I mean ticket (1), I have bought an extra in the past but who am I kidding here? I’ll buy that second ticket when I know I have someone who wants to accompany me from now on.

Came home and then cooked some dinner, pasta and clam sauce, with garlic.

Off to trivia and won 3rd, the regular gang, Kayla, LaurenDe, Kimberly, and Andge were about. Also the very quiet JessicaK and the very HOT brunette (tall- Chelsea – who’s mom tried to get a job @ Hooters as well) with the half shirt. They’ve had 420 since yesterday, wonderful.

Set up the camera just before I took off for trivia, had over 1000 photos waiting on the card when I brought the camera in. Mostly cloudy all evening so not many stars in the timelapse but it still may make a cool video we’ll just have to see. Downloading as I type and now to bed.

I got a new spin on the issue I was working on, seems that maybe I can just add a few things into a table used to indirectly assign channels by the Profile assignments and maybe then assign the channels in a Channel Set indirectly to the profiles the Channel Set is directly assigned to.

I ended up stopping in at the Summits in Cumming,GA again in order to pick up a Negra Modelo glass, the beer was basically just OK but the glass is cool. Also had an order of chicken quesadilla and although I tried to be able to talk with the very cute brunette there I instead ended up with the oddball dude.

The trek across on Hwy 20 wasn’t so bad this evening, I got home in plenty of time to print the photos from Hooter’s Halloween for Patty and also got a little nap in before heading over to Trivia.

We didn’t win and I was instrumental in missing some questions, I really thought I was correct, sorry guys. I found out that one of the Hooters Gals were arrested early in the morning on the 2nd, some altercation with a boyfriend, they found a fake ID so she got in more trouble than necessary, she also looked really tired in the photo, why would someone look tired like that when they are only 19 years old? JG

Started but waking up late, almost 9:30am, then just messed around on the Internet. Did a little vacuuming and cut my hair. I then drove over to the Kroger and did a little bit of shopping and came home and had lunch. I also dropped off some clothes to the “Goodwill” that I know I can’t fit into any longer.

Decided to head over to T-Mac Suwanee to add a beer to the list, anded up having the Delirium Noel. Not too bad, but I have to admit almost just another Belgian Ale. Talked to the dudes there about other beers we liked and are looking forward to this season. I was surprised but CrystalJ ended up walking in and sitting at the end of the bar. I noticed her but didn’t want to pounce. A bit later I hear her yell “Aaron” and she moved over to sit with me. We talked for awhile catching up, she’s doing great living with the parents but hoping to move out again soon, her sister is getting on her nerves. She was going to work at the Green’s Liquor down inside the Perimeter off I85 at 4pm, they have a special on Blue Moon Grand Crue. I already have one in the fridge so although I wanted to see her again I decided not to make the trip.

Instead I went over to the L-ville Hooters and got to chat with my favorite little Gator fan, AshelyC, she had on a really nice Hooters tank from California she got from another regular. It had “If you ain’t a Gator your Gator bait!” on the back. It looked as if she had washed it a lot since it was a bit faded.

Ended up at Beefs for a couple of beers with the guys there, and the gals, Kieth, Jaime, Chelsea etc.

OK, more in the morning.

Horny GoatI stopped in at the Suwanee Taco Mac, had my normal BOTM, Beer of the Month, got my pint glass, had a salad (better than wings for me) and also had another wheat beer. A Horny Goat, in a can, it actually was very good.

After I stopped in at Hooters since I had some time to kill and also since LaurenShep was working (she told me last night she was working a double) and I wanted to get to see her a bunch before she graduates this semester and becomes entrenched in nursing. There was a small but violent skirmish between a couple of dudes right behind me at some tables, the one guy was very odd with the top of his hair bleached and earrings and shit. There certainly are some odd folks out there.

I got home just before sunset and my brother and I lugged out the scopes and had some quality time looking at the sky. I got a few shots of the moon and Mizar (a double star in the Big Dipper) as well as a few other things, M95, and M92. I’m just not sure I have anything there.

After getting home, I had wanted to chat with Brian about telescopes and stuff, thinking about getting one or at least a platform to allow long exposures with my camera and my 300mm lens (which with the 2x converter and the D200’s 1.5 multiplier comes out to 900mm, almost as much as his smaller telescope – 1200mm).

Picked up Eric and after arriving at Hooters, David showed soon afterward. Jaime was looking great and seemed in a really fantastic mood, the two guys I saw at the bar on Sunday were there again, they seem to either be friends or one of them is a “boyfriend”. The guy with the bandanna around his head under is hair aka. was in true “hair band” form. Along with a long blond hair look and very young looking face he could pass for a very young member of Def Leopard. We started off the game with a perfect first round and I helped the “Pam” team with the bonus question, maybe I shouldn’t have but then they helped with a question in the last round that helped us a lot. Our second round was just as good, acing it and then we stumbled in the third missing the first two, getting the last two and then missing the bonus question to end up tied in first with another team. The tie breaker is always a song length and nobody on the team though about timing it. We guessed and it just so happened that the other team guessed the exact same time, so we did another and they ended up getting closer, we were over by about 40 seconds, damn. So we ended up with only second even though we were first the whole rest of the game. Final score, 62 out of 77

Brian set up his scope again although it “setup” ok it really never moved to anything we could see.  Stayed up way too late, almost midnight.

Stopped in at Hooters earlier and said hello to Amanda.  She left soon after since she worked the day shift.  I then talked to Holly, and Katrina. I stopped in at the Brickhouse and things were really slow.  Heard way too much about the guy, Cho, who killed all the people over at VaTech, how senseless.  I hope there is a special place in hell for people like that.

Nicki and I went around a bit, not too bad though.  She got another letter from Phoenix High about Withdrawing not sure what’s up with that but it is her business.

I got up quite early considering I went to bed at 1:30am,  I tried to get back to sleep but with obsessing about if everything was ready for the shoot and if things would work out OK, I just couldn’t get back to sleep.  I got up and messed with testing some exposures of myself in order to have the main lighting right before Amanda and crew arrived.  I had moved my two lights to be the key (to the left of the camera and forward) and the fill (on camera right and behind), I then placed my brother’s two strobes that he graciously allowed me to use on the left and right of the model pointed toward the background.  I think I metered the key at f/8 and the fill at f/5.6 or 1:2 the background lights read f/16 to blow out the white background.

I was mostly ready by about noon and wanted to eat but was almost to nerved up to do so.  I poured myself a rum and Pepsi (OK, I live in Atlanta but HATE Coke), actually a Pepsi One, (you got to get the help where you can) in order to calm down a bit.  Amanda calls about 1ish and says they are running a bit late so it could be another 1.5 to 2 hours before they get there.  Considering we were shooting for 2:00pm and I still had things to do I was happy for the delay.  They arrived around 2:30ish and we basically jumped right in after the introductions.  I was worried that with everyone (her husband Kris and their s7yo Corbin) there including Brian there would be problems but no everything worked out great.

I felt I started out slow and could have felt a bit more in control but I was glad that after a bit Amanda had some ideas she asked about and things started to flow better.  I think I improved as far as directing her poses but I did leave more up to her than I expect I should have.  In reality I’m better at the technology of the art than the true art part.  Or maybe it is just that I’m more secure in the technology part.  I turned off the Auto Focus and just focused manually, not sure if that was good or bad but I feel that most of the photos were in focus, I exclusively focused on her eyes.  At times I was slow to focus and that might have made her feel like saying, “OK, take the picture please!!” so maybe next time I should try the AF for a bit and see how things work out.  Use the technology to your advantage.

Amanda was tickled about her makeup, especially her eyes and as you can see why here —> http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/47602253/
She looked fantastic if I haven’t already said that.

I learned a few things:
1). set the white balance to flash NOT auto!
2). I need to get better at suggesting poses, sometimes I don’t due to being modest( ie. how about a shot with your butt sticking out more?).
3). maybe use auto focus so model doesn’t have to wait so long for shot.
4). don’t try to bracket manually.

Things I want to do next with a shoot like this:
1). action shots, hair moving etc.  – note need to get a large free standing fan.
2). more implied nudity, way better than real nudity in my book.
3). Take more pictures.
