partly cloudycloudyOvercast and cool this morning I finally got out and headed up to see her Nevada and Chico.

Brian got up about 6 o’clock I continued to lay there for at least an hour I want to say before I finally got up and took a shower. Brian and I then went over to the breakfast area in the hotel and picked up our breakfast there I met to the guys he works with Scott and older dude from Minnesota and John (Brian’s mgr.) was also a younger guy from Atlanta as well.

The drive up to Chico was pretty uneventful it was overcast the entire drive. On 99 N. from Sacramento to Chico the road was lined with all types of fruit trees and nut trees (Almonds and Pistachios) as well as packing plants.

It’s rather well not rather but totally flat here I guess were in the valley and old the only mountainous area seem to be toward the west about halfway up to Chico.

Sierra Nevada

sierra nevada

The tour Sierra Nevada was wonderful the girl (Daisy) led us around the brewery, she had very very long dark hair & very thin very long legs. The tour was quite a bit longer than I thought it was going to be but very interesting and informative. Our group was really cool there were a couple of minors who were very nice in a lot of ways. I’m not sure if they were there with some siblings or with family. As I said we learned a lot about the beer especially at the end when we had all the samples we got to have the Audition Old Ale, the Hefewiese and the Torpedo, the snow White IPA and lastly the Black IPA.

After the tour I picked up a few souvenirs a book about beer tasting and a T-shirt for the Hoptimium beer. I then proceeded on to the Sierra Nevada restaurant and had myself a Black IPA which I should’ve passed on and the wonderful Torpedo cheese hamburger. Met a trio of beautiful women at the bar, in particular, Lisa Dion (her roommate was Tina, larger gal, brunette). The third gal was a young very pretty thing who is getting married soon, lucky guy, she loves beer and was as cute as a button. Lisa and I talked and chatted quite a bit. She actually had lived in Georgia for quite sometime. She has only just changed careers now working on some technical/web-based company whereas she used to work with horses.Mostly warming up horses, cleaning, grooming and training. She even worked @ times @ rodeos, including the one in Okeechobee. Lisa had been raised in Chico and only last year moved back. Oh and she worked with the horses @ the Medieval Times in Kissimmee, FL.

I stayed a little bit too long chatting and drinking my beer because by the time I recalled time we started to leave Brian called me and it was almost already 3:15 and there was no way I was going to get back to Sacramento before 4 o’clock.

Got back just a bit before 5pm and we all (Brian’s crew from work and I) went to Bella Brue and had some beers and dinner, I had the salmon with mashed potatoes, then a Ninkasi IPA and a brother ph. the waitress was a greek gal, with an interesting name, something that started with a “Grim…” no idea what it was now. Met Brian’s crew from work, really nice group actually, his boss John, the other Brian, Scott from Minnesota and the sales guy who’s name I forget now.

Back to the hotel for a beer and bed.

Got up wondering what was up with Autumn that she hadn’t called to let me know what was up for today. Went out to the Shroom with Brian and poor Lauryn is getting worse instead of better, sinus issues galore. I texted Autumn but got nothing back in the next hour. After lunch I went over to Hooters for a beer cince B.Ritch was going to be working her eligebility day at the bar so I figured I’d go in and say Hi.

Turned into a nice early afternoon, got to see BritR and then a few other “regulars”, Bruce, Alabama dude, Desire’, Rick-photo, as well as Alex, Trish the Gator, and even Anna (still blonde but I can’t seem to get used to it). There was this very Gothy looking petite chick at the end of the bar, a few tattoos showing very pale skin and dark hair. She had a few beers, fries and sat with her one foot up on the char so her knee is up around her chin. I did notice she was really small all around with a cute little butt.

Shroom

I finally got a text from Autumn while there at Hooters watching UGA do OK against Ole Miss. She had JUST gotten up, must have had a bad (long) night. I texted such but got no reply to that only that she was watching UGA as well. Asked about meeting up at T-Mac for the UF game @ 7 but no real reply to that. Came home and just hung out and messed around water plants, cleaning up around the yard, etc. I got my re-newed PASSPORT today and absolutely hate the picture on it. I look like my Grandpa Walton, plus the color is all wrong. I’m suppose to get my old passport back as well a bit later.

I then took off to T-Mac for the Florida/Kentucky game, had some dinner, a few beers and they won, 48-10. Brian also stopped in and had dinner with me, him a panini and I the shrimp/avacado salad, but forgot to tell them to leave off the fresh jalapenos, OUCH I got a few and they really did BURN. I also chatted with a nice couple, the gal a redhead about 7.5 months pregnant and as cute as a button, strawberry blonde, fair skin and a boat load of freckles. I may have chatted with them before. Also a crew from the Petite Le’Mans just got into town and were there, Boz crew?

Finished watching the game and then came on home, nice cool evening by now, lower 60’s on the drive home. Watched some TV with Jeremy and Nicki, then we figured out the Wii wasn’t working when Nicki tried to exercise, find out then that it’s been having trouble all along, she has been leaving it on and then not removing her disc which hasn’t made things better.

Didn’t get together with Autumn, maybe this is an omen. Got a call from Becky about her moving this next week, needs to be out of her VERY NICE but VERY expensive apartment at the end of the month. She is not happy about this at all.

Up late, out of bed after 10am, then just lazed around and played on the computer. Went outside for awhile, just out front to get the paper and then out back on the deck for awhile checking on the plants there. Then on the computer messing with the beer list and photos.

Brian and I went over to McCray’s Tavern for lunch, got the goofy guy up on the patio but the food was good. A bunch of gals at the table on the far side seemed to be having a good time. One gal sat down and decided that sitting facing a bunch of people with her legs open and wearing a short skirt would be cool, I though so too. The weather is just FANTASTIC right now, in the mid 70’s and sunny. After getting home I did a bit of yardwork, mostly just trimming the crept myrtles and some of the vines in the side and back yard.

Taco Mac for the Terrapin Hoppy Monster Cask, got there a bit early after a little thing with Brian, he came up and said something about “What? you are not already at Taco Mac” and it kind-of pissed me off, I said that it was Sunday and I didn’t have to be anywhere special at any time. He made a comment about why I was being sarcastic and I said it was because he was, or at least I felt that he was. But I have to admit that I always feel he is being sarcastic when he says most things. Like when he comes up and says almost anything, it could be considered sarcastic.

Got to T-Mac and met a very cool chick, Georgia who is a chef at the Williams Sonoma over at the Mall, I need to get over there this week. A sexy brunette with great cleavage and wearing a long flowing skirt/dress. Gave me lots of info on a new boning knife, but talked me into a sushi knife which is much more what I am looking for. Let me know a bit about some things including some stuff on al-clad and mandolins. A chick next to her, hot in her own right, even hotter than Georgia but she didn’t talk to me much, I did try to start something but zilch. She asked me my name, and then told me she thought she knew me but didn’t go any farther, I should have just told her BULLSHIT but she was too nice looking for me to do that. instead I just asked where and she had no answer. Whatever I think it was a case where she didn’t understand why I gave the gal, Georgia more attention than her, because she was cool and actually talked.

Pete showed up a bit before the Terrapin brew was being drafted, I chatted with him and then the other dude, Alan that I had met before. Chatted with the Couple from NC and Timmy for a bit before they left and also the lesbian couple that were from the Army. Got home before 1- so it wasn’t a bad night. Helped Nicki wthin a thing for her bed, basically a new box-spring. Talked to Brad about a Jeep Wrangler, he got his at a place called Adventure Jeeps, in Cartersville, need to look them up on the web.

They are firing one of those “guns” at work that mount things into a slab of concrete, can you say, “NOISY!” and distracting, I guess I’ll just keep surfing the web instead of working. It was misting rain just a bit on the drive into work this morning, overcast when the sun did finally peek out a little. Messed around with my beer website a bit, have 2 cellars, beers to drink now and ones to leave for 6-12 months, I’ve currently got cellared long term.

Had more of my daughter’s lasagna for lunch, funny aspect of her lasagna, she cuts off the little wrinkled part of the noodles, I’m afraid she may have gotten a bit of my OCD but channeled it a bit differently. No matter, the lasagna tastes GREAT!

Out to the Taco Mac Suwanee for BOTM, had the Tumbler and then a Heavy Seas Great Pumpkin, very good. Saw Connie (or Bonnie) with the blonde shoulder length hair, nice cleavage *smile*. There were also a trio of gals, all married I think who worked with the dude Mike. Then Joy (tallish with the short redish hair) came by and said something about my shaved face, she liked it but I just don’t feel it, a couple of weeks before she said I should shave my goatee off, I made sure she knew that I did it for a passport not her, not really sure why, well yes I am. Connie is who I really would like to see but Beth was being her chatty self and with some looks at Connie I ended up hitting the road. Realized that Beth is VERY much like my brother, very opinionated especially when it’s not a viewpoint most people have.

Came home and had the beer Beth gave me week before last, the Krombacher Weizen, nice but WAY too bready, banana for me. Also watched some movies with Nicki and updated the stuff for beers and dvds on the net.

Green darner taken earlier this spring, many of the dragonflies I capture are not as easy to identify, this one was unmistakable. I noticed while taking some photos and looking over a few of the macros (mainly the one I put up yesterday of the droplet on a blade of grass) that I had a lot of crap on the sensor. Cleaned the senso this morning. Went out on the trail about 9am and picked up two of the cicada husks from the days before. I also got shots of a few spiders and chatted with a few people on the path. Seems there was a copperhead sighting.

Common Green Darner

Drove over to the Natural Foods Warehouse store across the street by work. Picked up a few items (frozen lunches) some of them some flatbreads from evolFoods. Realized it is love spelled backwards, their logo even has the e turned backwards. You can get a free t-shirt when you collect box upc points, only 16 flatbreads and I can get one. So for about 3 weeks of lunches and I’m almost there. 🙂 They even give you a free sticker that I put on my cubicle wall at work just over my desk.

Yesterday, Steve Jobs has resigned from Apple Inc. It would have to end sometime and now everyone is worried about IF Apple will just crash and burn. The stock market did some flips too from what Fernando, a buddy from work was saying he could understand a little that Apple stock would fall a bit but even very un-related stocks were falling. Also in world news one of the Russian space rockets crashed yesterday as well, it was unmanned but there are plans for manned missions soon. The rocket was carrying supplies for the Space station.

Out to the Suwanee T-Mac for BOTM, got the last and different Harpoon IPA glass having the Oktoberfest and then I had the Stone Smoked Porter after. It was a flirt-fest between me and Lori? It seems there may be 2 Loris there, Blonde with the “actress” daughter and another who has a boyfriend and whom I am a bit more attracted to, darker dirty-blonde to brown hair, freckles etc. Talked to Joy (short hair, taller gal there) but repeated some of the questions I had asked her later, duh! She was giving me shit about my goatee and put me on he defensive so I wasn’t feeling all that chatty. Seems Lori-1 (blonde) will be having a “camping” party at her house over labor day weekend. It’s BYOB, BYOF(food), and BYOT (tent), but she did say she had a few beds. Also, it seems her daughter is really into DragonCon, I should go myself, I’ve never been but wouldn’t be able to dress up worth a crap. She has three outfits, one for each day, one from pokemon, one vampire/goth and ?????? the last one was left out conversation interrupted. Oh, and Lori-2 was showing a bunch of skin in a spaghetti strapped top, showing off her tan-lines and freckles, I let her know I loved them.

another type of Amanita, I think

Today was the big “Spring Event” @ work.

Not much else going on, it was about mid 70’s this morning on the drive into work, I had the top down and listening to the beginning of the 4th Honor Harrington novel on my iPhone.

November 3rd, 2011 — Now There Is An International Stout Day?  I’m in.

The event for work was quite good. The food was great and that is not even because I didn’t eat lunch at all and just waited until we had the “stuff” there @ 2pm. There was a TON of stuff, wings, beef and chicken skewers, crunchy flatbread, FISH tacos (yum), crab & goat cheese with bread, pulled pork mini burgers and shrimp & bacon skewers. I also had a Hopescutioner that I shouldn’t have had. On the way home I was feeling a little sick, took a nap after getter to the house for about 2 hours and then headed over to the Taco Mac about 8:20pm.

Two beers at the Mac, Widmer Nelson Imperial IPA and the Victory Hop Wallop. Saw the couple from last time, Christine and Dale (or Cole) and then I saw Veronica, she actually stopped me outside while I was leaving, she was behind me when i walked out and tapped me on the shoulder and called me by name. Chatted for awhile, she works in Buckhead, lives in Buford (around the corner from the Mall) apologized about being short last weekend. I felt good about the exchange and she even hugged me at the beginning and end of our conversation. Wow, I wonder if something could happen there?

Got home and it began thunder and lightning a bit, funny since I just mentioned it to Veronica before I left the MAc that I would like it to rain and she asked if it was in the forecast. Also, I had the top down in the car and I’m glad it didn’t rain BEFORE I had gotten home.

I was up a bit late since I didn’t get to bed until well after 2am. Was up and around about 11am in order to head over to the Shroom for some lunch, Brian tagging along. Lauryn was in a nice mood and looked great too. Another cool fella hung out as well, having a Guiness and then a PBR, odd!

From there we went over to Fry’s and looked at a bunch of stuff, ended up even getting a small Heliocopter, 3 channel RF RC and saw Jeannie and Jeff there when we were checking out. They were going to Taco Mac and wondered if I was going. Decided to play with the Helio instead but did go later (meeting them as they were leaving).

After messing with the ‘copter and NOT doing all that well I headed over to the Mac and had a couple of beers about 9pm. Chatted to several folks and Cara was in a fabulous mood. Dan&Cathy as well as Jeannie&Jeff were both there but left within about 20 minutes of my arrival. Saw the cute blond gal who always drinks martinis with her dad, has a fantastic tan and was with her son. Veronica is her name and her son’s name was Cameron or something like that. LEft after only two beers, the Founders Anvil Porter (suggested by Dan and Jeff) and then the Southern Tier Cuvee 3 suggested by Cara. Along with an order of wings it was a nice evening. Got home before it began to rain. I continued to check outside the whole time I was at the Mac and thankfully it didn’t rain until about 15 minutes after I got home and into the garage.

On Friday I got my photo from the lovely Katie West from Canada. I stopped in at Micheals after the Taco Mac and picked up a frame, not quite sure it would fit, but it looks great. Got it all framed up but had to use some tape on the corners to hold the photo down. I used masking tape, hope it doesn’t hurt it.
