Set-up the Transmitter, the instructions are just a walkthrough of the menus and what they set, no explanation as to what they are or why. Also, nothing is really said about what all the switches and dials are used for. Got a little help from the link below:

If Walkera doesn’t do it, someone will do it for them. Not only, it can control Spektrum DSM2 and Nine Eagles J6 aircraft as well.

Major features include:
Support for multiple protocols without any modifications to the transmitter:
Walkera Devo 6/7/8/10/12
Walkera WK2401/WK2601/WK2801
Nine Eagles J6 Pro
DSM2
DSMx (in progress)
Support for other protocols with very easy transmitter modifications
Flysky/Turnigy 9X
Support for up to 255 different models
Transmitter can act like a USB drive. Managing models, configuration, and themes is as easy as copying a file…No more need to use the Walkera DfuSe tool.
Fully configurable themes including bitmaps, fonts, and colors
Flexible transmitter configuration. Support up-to 12 channels on a Devo8; remap any switches or buttons to any purposeApparently, the word is that the Deviation project has now got Walkera’s blessing. Although I am not sure whether they will support it openly because of legal ramifications.
