I’ve collected rocks and things since I was about 8-9 from what I can remember. Found an Arrowhead on the gravel road to my childhood home in Okeechobee, FL and picked up all kinds of shells, rocks and even bones throughout my younger years (and even into my elder years 🙂 ).
Most of the things I collected as a kid are long gone. I had two rattlesnake rattles that my dad got off of snakes he had actually killed and now I have only one, the second was taken by my ex-wife after I gave my rocks and things to my stepson Mark, not sure where all the rest of it went. There was also a little rodent skull my dad found in an attic somewhere as well.
I picked up all sorts of stuff, glass, quartz, shells. I even found an arrowhead on the road to my childhood house, couldn’t tell you if someone else lost it or if it came with the shell that was used to make the road (dirt road). I don’t think I have that anymore either, also taken by me ex since it had something to do with Indians, she has a thing for Indians (the American Indian kind).
