I missed the release of this yesterday and now it’s delayed, I guess that is for the best.

We’ve received a number of immediate emails telling us that the update is crashing. We’re temporarily pulling the app from the App Store until we can determine if the issue is on our side. We will update this post as soon as we have more information.

Photosmith v2.1 is now available!  We’ve added a few new features and fixed many old issues as well:

On iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, you can capture photos and videos using the built-in camera, or save images from a variety of applications (such as Safari, and Mail) to your device. The following document explains how to import this media content from your device to a computer.

This and the iPhone5 will be happening sometime in the Fall. I know I’ll be upgrading my phone then as well. I heard the phone will be a bit thinner and a little larger, screen size just a bit over 4″ diagonal. (September/October)

Looks like maps will be taking over the GPS market in cars.

iOS 6 gives you more features to make the things you do every day even better. It’s coming this fall, and it’s free and easy to upgrade wirelessly on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch — the moment it’s available.

Photosmith is almost out, I’m getting a little excited and hope that it will be available this week.

[Hopefully, this is our last post before announcing the final release date.  The app has been uploaded to Apple and is under review. We should be only a few days away now.]

[This post is part our ongoing series introducing Photosmith 2 which will be a free update for all users]

In preparing the press stuff for launch we realized that most people have never seen what version 2 looks like unless you bought Jeff’s book.  We’ve talked about it a great deal and offered a few glimpses but we’ve never shown full screenshots.  Well that’s all going to change right now.

Rainy and warm, only 59 when I woke up, started the day with shorts and a hoodie.

Brian called in the morning to tell me he had a small fender bender, but no fenders were bent. The lady who hit him in the rear just barely tapped him and neither saw any damage so they exchanged info and went along their way after the police got there.

PhotoSmith, a cool iPad program for importing photos and doing a bit before syncing with Lightroom, is delayed again. Looks like it’s going to be about a month behind schedule at a minimum. With a small Agile team they should be able to have added a few things and then released instead of holding so long, well at least in theory they should have been. I’m just a bit excited to get my hands on something that seems to be exactly what I was looking for to begin with when I purchased it about a year ago. I’m thankful they are giving v1 users a free upgrade, I know I would buy it anyway so I guess I shouldn’t be so impatient.

Due to my contact lens purchase I’ve messed up my finances for the beginning of the month, now I’ve taken out over $200 out of savings and need another $50 to $100 today to fill up the tank and then allow myself to have some fun on Wednesday @ Parma Trivia. Just about the same amount of money I spent on my contacts. I wish I had at least tried to use the Flex Spending Debit Card before using my Bank Debit. 🙁

I only weighed 212 this morning, not sure if I really am loosing weight or if I just didn’t eat well yesterday. I’ve also been a bit below the weather, a bit of back and forth from the bathroom today, and tummy not feeling well. I’ve only ate a McD’s breakfast boritto, two pears and some Tostitos corn chips.

Texted KimO about meeting up for some dinner tonight over at the Los Arcos, dinner a bit later than I would do but cool enough. Got the car washed and then had a beer over at the Shroom before, went home messed with the car some more and then went over to meet her. She was already there, and we sat down. I felt like I hold the conversation, not very give & take imo. They didn’t have Riesling, damn, the second place to be out of it, and then they didn’t have white zif either. I had suggested that we head over to the Shroom for another drink, she said something about messing up her routine or something on that order if she stayed up late, instead we said goodbye, with a hug outside near her car, maybe I should have tried a bit of something more, nothing too much but Damn It! I want a bit more from the relationship than friends, maybe some benefits but I really do want a true relationship. I’m really not sure if she is open to more or not, mostly I believe NOT.

I work up a bit early this morning, woke up from the re-occuring dream about driving a bus for the kids (Nicki & MArk) when they were kids. Went over to Tammy’s house (we were divorced already) and was late. Then I woke up and looked at the clock, 5:05am, thinking that the alarm didn’t ring so I get up and take a shower, end up downstairs about 5:30 and Brian comes up asking why I’m up early, ooops.

@ work I went out early to have my walk and possibly get some photos in, it began to rain about the time I got over the first bridge, then it began to get a bit heavy. Back inside I was feeling very crapped out since my system still doesn’t work correctly, just no access policies, I don’t have access to allow them or something.

I got out a bit later, the sun came out after I had eaten lunch, about 11:45 or so. I got quite a few photos of some new things, since I walked out north of the trail where there were quite a few logs and lots of moisture, mosses, and mushrooms and fungi.

I stopped in at the Suwanee T-Mac for BOTM, I had the Moo-Hoo 2010 and then the Gordon IPA (by OB, the G’ Knight now) and even though I got a glass I didn’t drink one of the BOTM, Red Bricks. The only one I need is the Laughing Skull Lager, yuck. I saw Trish and Adam there, also the dude from Honda, John (shaved head). Also Beverly (blond, fair skin, thongs) is getting married, she has a big ring and is quite happy 🙂 Adam and I made a job about being pregnant which she didn’t take kindly of.

Stopped in at the Beverage Superstore, met a cute gal, all of 21 with a 4 pack of Founders Breakfast Stout, Ali who works at the old T-Mac on 120 & Riverside. It’s now something else, she told me the name but I can’t remember it. I may have to go over there sometime again. I picked up a Jailhouse / ????? Collaboration brew, Community Service (a Scotch Ale) and a Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout that I already had a bottle of.

Brian and I shared the second bottle while I downloaded and updated my iPad with the iOS5, took all evening to download, mostly due to the fact I didn’t have the charger on and the power was low (I think). Set up the download for the iPhone and will update in the morning.

I ended up moving the piano from next door into the garage last night, Patty and Jeff were talking about it with a friend and then they left just after I got home. I then continued to think about it just getting ruined outside so I decided to go ahead and had Brian help me with it up the short hill to the driveway. We then put it between the cars and I’ll move it back to the back as soon as I get stuff moved around back there, or in the house by the back windows.

Order after October 7th, for sale Oct 14, not really sure about getting one yet, maybe…. iOS 5 should be out about the same time I’d say. Looking forward to that. Not sure about this iCloud thing.
8MP, f/2.4, refined LED flash?, HDR.  Not sure about getting one really but it may happen before the iPhone5 comes out.

“The Bad Elf GPS Receiver plugs into your iPod touch, early generation iPhone, WiFi iPad or iPad2, allowing you to start using your beloved iOS device for navigation and all sorts of geo-goodness. I’m not yet an iOS user (though an iPad 2 is on my wish list), but the Bad Elf is so popular that I thought it deserved a post. As I compose this, it’s ranked number 23 on Amazon’s GPS bestseller list and has been in the top 100 for 147 days.”
