Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.

eyes

I’ve been doing Durexol drops and a anti-bacterial ointment on my eyes since Sunday. The ointment is hard and thankfully only needed just before bedtime. The drops are 4 times a day and tend to burn for about 5-10 minutes after applying. My eyes seem to look better, LOTS better than on Friday.

When I wake up my eyes seem gritty for about the first 2-3 minutes and clear up after I blink for some time. It feels like there is a small lump in my eye, not sharp or really painful just uncomfortable.

I’ve almost talked myself out of Lasik for the time being, thinking that I should just get some glasses instead.

Cold, very cold, below 30 by early morning. Then it slowly climbed to the mid 40’s as the sun came out.

The roads were deserted and so was the office @ 7am. There were a lot of tree limbs down and many of the power lines had lots of ice over in the Lawrenceville area but the Alpharetta area wasn’t near as bad.

Decided to go ahead and pick up one of the knives Brian has, a quick open folder. “Kershaw 1556BW Cryo II in black“. I also got a set of lenscaps and covers for the GoPro just in case I loose something. Lastly, I did extend my Zinio Maxim Magazine subscription.

Neighbor's tree due to ice storm last night

fall

Got a text from Nicki of a tree in the backyard. Seems one of the neighbor’s trees next to the fence fell over into our yard last night.

Got home and re-heated the leftovers from Monday. Nicki had the dude there, can’t remember his name, just one of the same. He is always loud and laughing, I guess that is good but seems like all the guys she brings home are the flamboyant type, they just NEED to be the center of attention, I guess that’s good since it’s what Nicki seems to like, although having a good job or car doesn’t seem important.

Found out that Autumn starts a new job on Friday, YAY for her!!!!!!

Brian and I went over to the Movie Stop, I only reserved two movies and he bought Birdman which is what we watched later.

Just watched some TV, Birdman, very odd movie with Micheal Keaton, Emma Stone and Andrea Riseborough. Andrea was in Oblivion with Tom Cruise as his “wife”, nice pool scene, not sure she didn’t have a body double.

My niece Gina had her accident today, in the morning, 8 long years have gone by too fast. Miss her and wonder what she would have become by now if things had been different.

Colder today than yesterday, clear all day though. It was cold but the wind was not a factor.

Brian and I hit the 5 Seasons Brewing for lunch. I ended up having two “shorty” beers, the Otis IPA and the Dark Star Irish Stout. Had the Shrimp Bisque and a Cuban sandwich. It was so cold in the restaurant, but we had a very cute waitress, Rhonda, a dirty blonde with nice grip hips. Very nice and about in her mid to later 30’s I’d say, maybe older but very pretty all the same.

Ordered up a pair of new antenna for the Phantom 2 FPV, hope they help with the clarity of the image.

Out to Johns Creek T.Mac for a few beers and then back to the house to just watch TV and crash.

Beer Snobs
Being a beer snob is kind of like being a serial killer (stay with us…) in that people rarely just come right out and say “Hello, I am a beer snob.” It’s all about the ACTIONS, whether they be stockpiling a bunch of bodies in the basement, or stockpiling a bunch of rare beers in the one corner of the basement not occupied by all those bulky bodies. With that said, here are the different types of beer snobs you might encounter, which, just to be clear, does not in any way make them more likely to be a serial killer. Probably.
